Do not choose by title alone
Alison has several Power BI courses with overlapping names. Start by deciding whether you need orientation, setup and data connections, dashboard/report concepts, or a broader workflow refresher.
For the shortest orientation
Introduction To Data Analytics Using Microsoft Power BI and Fundamental Data Analysis using Power BI are compact options. They are useful when you want to see the interface and basic reporting ideas before investing more time.
For a more structured beginner path
Introduction to Power BI spends more time on sources, connections, transformations and sharing outcomes. It is a better fit when you want a setup-to-output sequence rather than only a feature overview.
For a broader refresher
Master Microsoft Power BI covers components, reports, dashboards, visualisation, filters and slicers. Treat the word “Master” as a course title, not as evidence that a few hours creates professional mastery.
Practice with your own data
The best follow-up is one small dashboard built from a dataset you understand. Real data exposes missing values, inconsistent categories and business questions that clean tutorials often hide.
Decision rule
Use a short course to test fit, then move deeper only when you can name the next Power BI task you need to perform.
